My experience in the Hotel del Coronado Coronet Room
The Coronet Room is like the Del’s baby sibling. It’s the mini version of the large extravagant ballrooms the hotel is famous for, but it’s not short on its ability to host a great party.
Because of it’s smaller size, it’s just right for guests counts up to 90 … of course that’s my opinion, but the guests counts of the parties I have entertained at have been about 60-90. Also, because guests are packed in together, there’s really no place to hide. As a result, most of the crowd just ends up on the dance floor.
My favorite memory of the Coronet Room is the night a couple walked/crashed the party that was going on. They sat themselves on one of the lounge couches and snuggled up. When the coordinator working the wedding with me kindly asked them to leave as they had just walked into a private event, they happily obliged and apologizes saying, “sorry we thought this was the hotel’s nightclub.”
