This is my first real attempt at a DJ routine. I utilized “ready” wordplay to introduce the set and closed out with “da da da” wordplay at the end at a little fun tone play.
22 snippets and samples from songs in just under 15 minutes.
This set was meant to be performed at the Mobile Beat 25 DJ conference in Las Vegas, however, it was canceled due to the Covid-19.
Also, this might be a bit TMI (not the gross kind, but most non DJs won’t care) … at around 8:50 of the video, my needle started to collect dust. This caused it to skip, while I didn’t stop the recording — the show must go on — I decided to edit that part out, it was kind of unlistenable. But you’ll see me frantically clean off the needle.
So while it never got its chance to shine in Vegas, I present it here for you.
